Thoughts Of The Week

– Clear thinking is bogged down by the stories we create about our lives. Throw out the stories, and start thinking clearly.

– I have traveled the world, I am no smarter than I have been walking around the block thinking.

– Work at describing, ease off on explaining. You’re losing when you are explaining.

– Your mind stays in place, life changes the movie sets.

– I only know what I have experienced directly, on all else I see little reason to talk.

– Am I happy? Yes. Have I been sad? Yes. What’s better? Happy.

– (A person once asked me if I believed Jesus died and rose from the dead in three days?

Why do you ask? I asked.

He replied, “There’s this person who believes Jesus did.”

“Is he happy believing that?” I asked.

“Yes,” was his response.

“Then, yes, I believe Jesus rose from the dead in three days.”)

– Preparing to die is not what I spend my time doing; Living is.

– What advice should I give my grandchildren? “Read what you don’t understand, and keep reading until you do understand.”

– Mostly, the answer is inherent in the question.
