This piece keeps returning to the same crossroads I have faced again and again — do I take the risk and leave what feels secure, or do I not? I wrote it because I have come to believe the urge to leap, when your time has genuinely come, is bred into us, and ignoring it costs more than the risk ever would.

The moment arrives.
Do I take that risk or don’t I?
Most of the time I would stay
the course. The question would
go unanswered. But it comes back.
New conditions arise. Do I take that risk,
and leave what I know best, with what
I feel most secure?
Yes.
My time has come.
It’s inbred in us to take that risk.

A decision to take on risk and succeed determines whether or not we thrive, and maybe even someday in the distant future survive.
Of course I will take that risk. Humans fight to overcome random twists of fate.
Your time comes.
You know it.
You do it.
