I’ve been happy
. . . I’ve been sad.
Happy
is better than sad,
but sad
moves me more than happy.
When I’m happy,
I try to stay in that state.
When I’m sad,
I’m miserable, and work to end my awful state.
When people are only slightly
happy In this middling state,
they do not try in the slightest
to change that state.
But, when in an inwardly sad
state,
they listen to any idea that may improve that inwardly sad
state.
How do I know such things? As I said, I’ve been happy
And I’ve been sad.
Happy
Is better than sad,
but I don’t work to change happy,
however, I work very hard to change sad.
